i would answer yes to this question, but i live in "redneck central" and most rednecks were just raised the way they are. heck, even i have more redneck in me than i realize, when i meet someone that ain't from around here

maybe, but the rednecks i know wouldnt have it in them to know it was a state of mind. they just are. its a way of life

the term "redneck" originated because farmers in the south didn't wear sunscreen, and got red necks (sunburn) when they were working in their fields. But Jeff Foxworthy makes it seem like it's a state of mind - I'm not bashing him, I love his stuff.

Heck no! a redneck's a redneck, no matter how you slice it and we are proud of it.
