Economic law of supply and demand. Individual governments who have no authority or concern to appoint a watch dog to police the actual cost of petrol from refining crude oil to the final end product, which we buy at the pumps. If refining companies, and petrol companies publish their costs we could at least get an understanding on how expensive it really is, where the money is going and if indeed the costs are justified..

The oil futures market and those who work and own shares therein. There is plenty of oil, but if suddenly everyone decided to stop selling it all of our cars would be very fancy paper weights. This fear keeps the market lively and scary.

However in the US, our government subsidizes gasoline, which means, they pay for part of it for you.

For the other person, GWB owns no interest and sits on no board of any public company. Its not allowed for the president to do so. And even if he did, he's as* rich and believe me doesnt care about squeezing a few more million out.

People who blame one person are very likely immature and still think of the world as a bunch of daddies and mommies. Daddy is mean, mommy is nice. Not that simple kids.

Who is ultimately to blame for high gas prices is everyone who uses gasoline, which, everyone does. Imagine if everyone started riding bikes and when they needed to travel carpooled. There'd be so much gas sitting around collecting dust it would cost 99 cents per gallon or less.

Im not saying this is something I am for, but it's a good tactic.

Source(s): I called GWB and asked him, he said this person above who said hes at fault will probably be offed within the next two weeks.

Simple. All the ignorant asses who drive around with their airconditioners on in their big fat gas guzzling SUV's and sports cars and big pickups that aren't being used to haul or pull something. And those who go forever without keeping their cars tuned up and having clean air filters and fuel filters in them. And all those godawful individuals who'd rather go 70-75-80mph+, regardless of the fact that ALL autos and trucks get much better gas mileage at 55mph. And those who have heavy feet when the light turns green or after they roll through Stop signs or make totally repetitive and unnecessary trips to the stores to go shopping or pick up one or two items instead of planning out their shopping. Irresponsible driving, which is the most common factor in America, is THE reason for higher gas prices. So, when you're looking to blame someone for higher gas prices, look in the mirror. YOU are the reason, and you COULD do something about it, if you had the balls. God Bless you.

It's a thing called supply and demand.

That is what is responsible for the price, high OR low, of everything.

government......for we are still stuck in relying to gas as to run our machines.......i don't believe that with all the technology we have today still we can't find ways or should i say take the risk of creating new machines that will not run in gas.....one of my country man invented a car that is fully powered by water....yes it runs with water alone....but the government would not want to support it to further the development..why? because they collect billions of taxes on gas companies....they dont want to lose revenue and would not want to risk.....
