I am assuming you are talking about emotional self-defense and not physical.

    1) Most of the time people use self-defense when they are not actually being attacked.

2)Self-defense is a mechanism used to hide pain.

    3) The person we need to defend ourselves most against is our self.

    4) The less you take things personally the less you will feel the need to defend yourself.

    5) Without self-defense we are completely exposed to the world but worst than than we are exposed to ourselves.

    1. Colt

    2. Smith & Wesson

    3. Remington

    4. Winchester

    5. Barretta

I believe all 5 will serve the purpose in a case of self-defense.

    1. It is your right to protect yourself, your friends, and family.

    2. Some people are better off dead.

    3. When in doubt, ESCALATE. If he's off my size, or I'm

out-numbered it's time to turn up the intensity. Anything goes

head-butts to breaking bones to using weapons, even a gun.

    4. It is okay to kill a person who has a reputation for getting

revenge because you don't want them coming back to haunt

you and your family. You wouldn't step on a poisenous snake

only to leave him alive and well enough to bite you, would you?

I'm not looking over my shoulder for anyone.

    5. You cannot always choose the level of intensity with which you

will enter combat, so it is best to be ready for anything. I always

    carry a razor-sharp knife, a fully loaded .45 with a spare clip,

    and a steel "n i g g e r-knocker." Better to be prepared than

    caught off-gaurd.

I also believe if you don't go looking for trouble you'll be less likely to find it.

    1. use whatever you have available

    2. go for a kill.

    3. if more than one, go for a painful, showy, blood spurting kill on the first one. the others will think twice, and might run away.

    4. if in a public place, use various martial arts moves to look cool, break limbs, and generally work up to an amazingly brutal climax. this will ensure nobody there ever messes with you again.

    5. surrender is not an option. its better to die fighting than to die with your hads in the air, if thats the case. if you fight, you have a chance. if you give up, you do not.

5b. carry a knife if possible. know how to use it

5c. carry a chain if possible. know how to use it

5d. carry a gun that you are well trained on if possible.

5e. kill first, dont ask questions later.

5f. take every opportunity to train in a STREET PROVEN martial art.
