Why are batman and robin in the superfriends when they have no superpowers nor are they superheros?

Batman is a superhero in the DC Universe and let's be honest when the Justice League came about the DC pickings were slim.

Batman is in fact a super hero. Robin may be a side kick but he's got some decent abilities himself... but, let's not overlook the fact that Batman takes the time out to save Gotham. He's heroic... and he is made super by all the gadgets that he uses to fight crime.

They are intelligent and Batman is a billionaire Playboy. Think about it. The Superfriends need intelligence, money, and women, then Batman has the hook-up. I hate to make it sound like this, but that is what it is.

Batman is a brilliant strategist, and Robin I guess would be the ultimate gopher.
