What Pitchers not in the Hall of Fame have won MVP and Cy Young awards in the same season?
Also, what year and team?
Well, Clemens and Hernandez are right, but Clemens doesn't really count since he will be in the Hall. There's another. Gotta go back a bit though.
I put up the question without actually researching the details. I knew for certain there were two, but not sore if more. I forgot about the magnifident hitting Don Newcombe, who should also be in the Hall of Fame. Well, there's two more. Both flamed out, one from drugs and later had a come back and the other just pitched too many complete games. I mean, he threw his arm off. I hope someone will list all of them so I can choose a best answer and only lose two points instead of five.

Clemens and Willie Hernandez are the only ones that come to mind. Hernandez won in 1984. Clemens in 86? 87?
Clemens is obviously going to the HOF. Hernandez might visit but he'd need to buy a ticket.
