Key Question?

Not knowing what type of car u have, I am going to guess a luxury vehicle since u have a valet key. I am going to say that if u have previously been to a dealership they have u on file. With that u should be able to get a new key. Hopefully u purchased the car from the dealer, if u havn't been in for service. They are going to need some form of proof. The reason being is that u own a luxury vehicle, which cost a pretty penny. As far as I know (I work at a Lexus dealer) a master key needs to be ordered for ur car. It is not cheap either, around 200 - 300 (Key only, not the cost of reprogramming too). They cannot cut a master key from ur valet. The keys have seperate cuts.

going to cost you an arm and a leg.....if you got the car new, you should have kept the little piece that you punch out on the top. It should have a number on it.....If all else fails.....put in a new ignition lock and a new door lock piece on the drivers side....and if your trunk has a different key...you will need to replace that too.. I had to have my ignition lock changed cause a "friend" stole my keys and went joyriding with the car....and the other person said they stopped at walmart and had another one made up.

When replaced, all they did was take out the little silver circle and put a new one in with a new key...........

Not a problem since you have the vehicle operational and in your posession. I mean really, if you were stealing it you've already accomlished the fact.

You didn't say who manufactured your car, or what year it is, or any other details.

GM key codes can be gotten using the VIN # , by the parts department. Depending on what manufacture of car you have, which you did not mention, you could try that.

They just copy the pattern of your vallet key on a standard key

No i do not...I do not see the intent why I would not inform "it is a key to a drawer, a door, a field..." bc It does not screen what's hidden within the drawer, in the back of the door, within the field...If requested what's hidden within the drawer and so forth, nonetheless, I might say some thing normal like "a few private stuff" or "it is a pal's residence" and would not screen the reality beneath no instances...

you have to prove thatz itz ur car...bring ur title and driver license to the dealer and the will make key for ur car....they wont just make another key for u wit just vin #..if that was true..i would go to everybodies car write down vin#..and get keyz made..mite have to go to locksmith to get blank keyz if they dont have ur type key
