If your taking them out for their b-day that will mean enough to them. great gifts come from the heart. the act of caring enough and paying for all the places should be enough. you can still buy them a present if you wish. it will make the outing very special.

I don't think so...and she shouldn't expect you to either. If your paying for everything that would be the birthday present.

if you're paying a lot, just buy her a small and not as expensive gift. she would really(or he) like the gift, so just buy a smaller one!!!
