Are televisions compatible between the United States and Argentina?

I know that the U.S. works on 110V versus 220V in Argentina, but a transformer can resolve that. If I take a television from the United States to Argentina, will they have similar cable connectors to feed the right kind of signal to my TV? The other side of that is that I would like to take a DVD player from the U.S. and connect it to an Argentine television. Will that work?

You would have to but an aftermarket adapter to plug it in, but after that it should work. I never actually tried it though...
