So on those labels for vitamins and others.............?

It says take with a meal, I'm just wondering if there's a specific time, as in before you start eating, little ways threw, or after your done?

You may laugh but its a good question, since I'm curious if you take it first it has a heads start on the actual food or you need to wait for the food to buffer its dissolve.

The most ideal time to take any medications with a meal is half-way throught the meal. And yes, you need the food to buffer the meds. This prevents the drug from directly interacting with the lining of the stomach. Also, more commonly, it acts as a time release for the pill.

Based on what I have been told by medical professionals, the best way is to take the vitamins with your meal. You do want to have some food in your stomach, and this will cause your digestive system to be able to break down the vitamins properly. I will generally eat approximately one half of my meal before I will take any medication or vitamins. I have several friends who have been in the medical field as nurses for decades, and this is how they will take their own medications. Good luck with being healthy and have a good night!

Most vitamins and minerals are best absorbed if taken immediately before or during meals. Right after you finish eating is probably OK too. Some people can get an upset stomach if they take them on a completely empty stomach.

Water soluble vitamins are absorbed by your body immediately. Fat soluble vitamins have to hitch a ride on fat molecules in order to be absorbed. When you "take with a meal" you are most likely to have enough fat in your meal to allow the vitamins to be absorbed.

Vitamins can upset your stomach so I would say at the end of the meal. If vitamins don't up set your stomach, though, you can take it anytime.

I would think it means halfway through a meal.
