Go to an executive search company (i.e., head hunter). Try the yellow pages or an industry publication.

    Update the resume.

Familiarize yourself w/ on line job posting boards, like Monster

    Be willing to re-locate

Find a good executive search firm that specializes in your field.

Don't leave your rolodex at your old job. After 35 years, you must have made some good contacts. Call them and tell them you are looking. They might be able to hook you up.

Set up yourself as an independant consultant. That's what everyone else who is unemployed is doing. You probably have alot to offer clients.

    Good luck.

    BE PERSISTENT!

You have to get out there and find that J O B. No one is gonna give it to you. Make sure they know why you are the best man for the job.
