Take the Blue Jays Seriously?

Unless the Yankees and Red Sox move to another division the Jays will be stuck in third place for the next decade.

That statement basically answered your own question. You cannot take the Blue Jays seriously. If the Red Sox had remained healthy, they would be right there, neck-and-neck with the Yankees. Instead of the Blue Jays being -2 of the Sox, they would be -10 or -12. Until the Blue Jays' pitching staff can get healthy and find themselves (AJ Burnett in particular) they cannot be taken seriously.

I do take them seriously as the Blue Jays are a great team but a difficult division. I mean when you're with the Yankees or Red Sox you basically have to deal with a 3rd place finish. If any other division I think they'd either be in 2nd or 1st.

No, not at all. Finishing in second place is like kissing your sister. It doesn't mean too much. The Red Sox have had injuries as well.

Unless you at least make the playoffs, it doesn't matter.

Lets see what the Jays do during the off season to improve.

I dislike NY and Boston, I'd rather see you guys win, but you have a ways to go, honestly.

In the end, most people wont care. Sure, it makes good headlines, and it gives the Public Relations dpt, something to go on, but it doesnt really matter.

They still missed the playoffs and that was the goal. Anything short is the same. A second place finish is the same as a third if you miss the playoffs.

They are always regarded as being much better than the last year, and are a contender for the Eastern division, until they fall off, and are right back in third. They should reserve spotsin that division:

1.Yankees

2.Red Sox

3.Blue Jays

4.Orioles

5.Devil Rays

Not to be mean, but I think the Blue Jays are eteranlly screwed. The Yankees will never surrender and the Red Sox aren't going away

There is definitely promise North of the Border. But it will always be tough as long as they are in the same division with the Yankees and Red Sox.

I would take them more seriously, and the season isnt even over yet. I think they might win 15 or 16 of their last 21 games. and finish 15 or 16 games over .500 and maybe win the Wild Card.

NO There a good team but for them to go anywhere the yanks and sox have to move out of the american league.
