What is the cost of delivering a baby in the U.S by C section? considering there is no medical insurance?
My wife is scheduled to deliver our first born sometime in March 2007, we do not have medical insurance. Based on your experience or the experience of friends/ relatives etc. How much is it going to cost?

C-Section generally costs more and my personal bill if I had no insurance would have been $17,000.00 due to the fact that my baby had to stay in the NICU unit due to a last minute breathing problem. Sooooo, considering there are no problems in your case, you are looking at around $10,000 easy.

Go to the state office. A lot of states offer insurance for either really cheap or free. Otherwise you are looking at bills that you might not be able to pay and with a baby you don't want to get stuck with that bill. You will need insurance for the baby too, so they might be able to help you with that too.
