is a dsl port jack smaller than a cable jack?

    well ...

    IF cable jack = cable TV jack = coaxial cable...AND

    DSL port = the cable for DSL modem = phone cable or maybe the out signal from DSL modem = network cable (UTP)

    THEN

    A: is not about the size ... is about technical differences between coaxial cable (circle shape) and phone cable/network cable (UTP) (square shape)

    yes, it is. It looks similar to a phone jack because DSL operates off of your digital phone line. You should be able to disconned a phone line and plug into the computer jack.
