Am Dutch and need a Schengen Visa for a Nigerian Friend?

I'm Dutch and wish to invite a Nigerian collegue for one month of holliday in my country. Any Schengen people here with experience on the visa paperwork?

The Dutch Embassy in Abuja has a website, but it does not answer all the questions. My collegue lives and works in Lagos, so travelling back and forth to Abuja more than once is not a good option.

What I am looking for is a Schengen person who actually DID invite a Nigerian person for a holliday in one of the Schengen countries. So that I can share details on filling out the forms.

Update:

Please do not simply refer to a website, as I do need a real life person to share experience......... thanks!

Akash is right, but this approach won't work in NL nor in Nigeria!!!

I've done it years back so things might have changed. Your friend will need a return ticket, a hotel booking (or letter of invitation), a financial deposit (banking info type of things, and a certain amount in it), usual proof of identity. it's a real headache. PLUS, the Dutch Allien police (!) is usually not very cooperative. Before you start anything, check with the EU commission in Brussels. I know it sounds brutal but from personal experience, the Allien police does not always go by the book and may ask for documents they shouldn't have to.

Dont Use any one's Help with paper work and all simply call the local travel agents call the embassy and cross check the same.

Same you can inform you friend also there in nigeria.
