Not a single good answer, but a best answer was chosen anyway??

Treat it like a political forum because wherever you have verbal, cognizant exchange, to the powers that be, ( and hopefully not for long ) this constitutes a political forum. It's to be steered and groomed to meet policy. You and I don't make policy. But if it stinks, we should at least say it doesn't smell like Channel number whatever. I'm glad you posted this.

When you don't chose any answer, the question gets sent to voting. While voting, you cannot edit your question at all and an answer people like will be chosen. They will vote for the answer they like best. If there is no best answer, they could vote "No Best Answer", but that is rarely done.

Before voting, you can delete your question completely. However, you will not get any points. For example, when you asked a question, you lost 5 points and then if you select a good answer you get 3 points back. Now, you COULD get all 5 points back by puting the question to vote (or waiting for it to go to vote in a few days) and then having people vote for "No Best Answer" and if that option wins, you will get your points and the question will be removed.

To delete the question, you can go to the question's page and then directly under what you typed, there should be a menu with some icons, one of them, when you hover over it, should give the option to delete the question completely (you cannot do this anymore, though, because voting already occurred, so you cannot edit anything)

Put it to a vote and then you can choose No Best Answer by voting.

if i dont get an answer that answers my question i would rather delete it and ask it again. yes, i would lose my five points but i would rather do that then give 10pts to an answer that didnt answer my question or put to a public vote.
