I believe that communism has something to do with our own personal evolution that enable us recognize the things that should be change and the things that we should retain. Equality is in fact a big part of our personal evolution as we were able to see reality as a part of us and it touches our freedom. Communism will help us if it is successfully executed according to the reason that it is made. It promotes equality for all and no one will be left alone. Commission is a great achievement of our personal evolution to create a new order in our society.

The government spreads the wealth around to everyone. The intent was that there would be no upper, middle, or lower classes. Everyone would be equal.
It sounded great on paper, but the downside is that when you re-distribute everyone's wealth equally, everybody becomes poor. The entire population (with the exception of those in control) becomes poor. That's what happened to the former Soviet Union.
Lesson: Work hard and make money = good. Re-distribution of wealth = bad. Vote Republican.

There are no positive sides to communism. It is a flawed ideology, badly conceived and badly executed. The only positive thing I can say about it is that its flaws allowed us to beat the USSR in the cold war.

It is hard to quote positives to communism but if you really want some, I guess, it would be that everyone is treated equally for health care, etc.

None. Socialism has positives but communism is the oppressive younger brother of socialism.
In socialism you don't starve to death. You always have a job. You always have health care. Ummm...you can act superior to others in capitalist societies?
Pure socialism sucks. No advancement, no reward except knowing you did better.(yay.) Pure anything is bad. Mix it up a bit, I say.

Communism is all about equality. They would go so far as to say that nobody gets paid more than anybody and that all careers are equal. But what that leads to is that the government has too much controll, and eventually corrupts. It's a great IDEA but only if EVERYONE is willing to accept it as their society.

The idea that the purpose of the society is to promote the agenda of the group and not the individual, and that the society is only as great as it's weakest link. The problems are obvious.

In theory all people would then be equal and power wouldnt be based on how much property you had. If you consider this though you would realize that if everything was owned by the government, the government would then be the supreme ruler.

actually there have never been any true communist states to fairly judge if there are any positive sides or not... the USSR, North Korea, Cuba etc....are/were basically state-run capitalist societies and very corrupt ones at that.
