Dog injury?
My dog went running after a squirrel and came back limping. Her paw and leg are undamaged. She pulled or strained a muscle in her chest. Is there something that I can rub on it to help it relax.
I only walk her when she has to go out and keep the walk short. She is active and alert and up to her usual antics but she limps and won't let me put any pressure on her chest where the muscle is. Any help would be appreciated.

I wouldn't wait. I would take her to the vet asap. It may only be a strain, but with our furry angels, things need to get looked at quickly: Being a dog, they have an inbred instinct to NOT show pain, as they are a pack animal. Any pack animal that is hurt, will not survive.
There may be the possibility of water forming around the injured area, which will cause issues if left untreated.
Please, take her to the vet, for both her sake and yours.

the fact that your dog limps and has some chest pain too
is enough for me to say ;
take her to the vet and have her checked out
The vet , may prescribe an anti inflammatory drug to relieve the muscle tension
or may have her x-rayed ,in case she has broken a rib .
it is no good speculating ,or attempting to treat ,
unless she is properly diagnosed by a vet
I hope she will soon be her normal bouncy self .

You could give her a baby aspirin to help with the pain and any inflamation. If the pain continues for more than a week, you should take her to a vet.
