Day time running lights?
I installed a daytime running light module. I found a wire that is hot in run only. The lights stay on while the engine is starting. I have noticed with factory installed units the lights go off during starting. Is there an easy way to identify a wire that would produce this effect on my 02 Mazda pickup? I would like the lights to go off during start.

i own a repair shop, and i think you already found it,there is one of the wires that is only hot in the running mode and one that is hot in both modes, but i thin you need to use the other one to produce the effect you want,,i put them on my Chevy truck, and it too has the same deal,,two hot wires, and i went to the one that was hot while running, and it works fine, but this is probably what your going to have to do also i think the wire is there as an option so you have the choice of having them this way,but it will work fine if you want to use the other hot wire,it is fuse protected also,,good luck i hope this help,s,,and have a happy thanksgiving.
