No its not, its a very ordinary expected evolution of the human communication and technology, I believe it either will vanish or completely change by the next century, which makes it impossible to be a world wonder.
Wonders are static things that create amaze inside whoever witnesses it, it also belongs to a certain culture or historical event, and it stays for centuries, so Internet is definitely not a world wonder because its global, its not cultural as its more to be called intercultural, and it would be the joke of the day if you call the Internet as a static thing !

Yes, I saw that on my school program that we watch every morning: Channel One. They said that the internet is now one of the biggest features in the world. People all around the world go on and off looking for whatever like every 2 seconds, kinda like us right now!!

I personally feel it's incredibly useful (we're all here aren't we?), but as a former BBS/WWIV user, I don't think it's "magic" like most baby boomers seem to think. I mean, my god, it's the same principles as telegraphs and radio, just taken to new levels.
Wonders of the world don't deliver spam every day.
