I think it depends on the person. I had a friend who couldn't gain weight no matter what they tried (good problem, huh? lol) but has never had a problem losing weight. I think it really depends on your metabolism and activity. If you are not active it is far easier to gain weight, but really unhealthy. Losing weight just takes a long time because, really, it accumulates over time. Thats why dropping weight fast hardly ever sticks.

Because it requires more work to lose weight.
Majority of the people in the United States are
lazy and don't want to do the work.
What would you rather do?
Sit around, watch tv,&eat a bag of lays...
Or only eat salad/water and run like crazy all day.
If you surveyed everyone in the US I bet 88% of the population would choose the first one because it's easier and requires less work.
For some it's harder to gain weight than it is to lose weight
I am friends with someone who is 79 lbs (not anorexic, bulemic, or anything) and she cannot gain weight. She loses weight a lot faster than she gains weight. She eats like a pig too.
You know what i'm trying to say. I could go on and on about why it's easier but basically just look at what a fat person does compared to what a skinnier person does.

After reading this I really want to share something because I spent many years switching from diet to diet without getting any real results until I came across Pams magic plan (just google it). It is without a doubt the most weight loss that I have ever had and I have kept it off to this day.

Cause food is easy to eat, but hard to resist
