Yahoo Q&A when is it time to vote for tiebreakers?
There are questions that have been in tiebreaker status for 3 or more months. A lot have the same number of votes month after month. At what point do they come out of tiebreaker status? When I ask a question I can not vote for 4 hours, but I read some questions that are voted by voters after a couple of days, (sans asker) I have found the point system chart, but am unable to locate the voting process. Another thing is I noticed that tiebreakers come out of voting by gaining thumbs up, but I can not give a thumbs up when the question is in tiebreaker mode?? So dad gum confused.
Y, your answer is in my email 3 times. Thank you for the answer, maybe I don't know, (being a puzzle person) will quit sifting through my pages to see the results. I really have not forgotten the first in voting not resolved q. Guess I'm just a curious kinda person.
Susan 4 days are up, the questioner forgot about the question since it has been 3 months in a tiebreaker. Everyone has forgotten about the q, cept me, when will it come out of tie status? If ever.
But I see that no one goes back that far, so will they remain dormant? If so for how long? I am now on a hunt to find the tiebreaker that has been out there the longest. Thank you Sir I have a quest to resolve.

The questions DO NOT come out of tiebreakers by RATING (thumbs up/thumbs down). Rating counts for NOTHING. VOTING is clicking on the button that says VOTE AS BEST ANSWER and that is the ONLY thing that will make a tiebreaker become resolved. The problem is that it takes more than just 1 point more than the other answers to break the tie (I'm assuming, since I have had some tiebreakers stay there for a while even after my vote broke the tie -- I've watched!!). And with the really OLD stuff -- nobody bothers. Heck, they hardly bother voting on the NEW stuff anymore!! LOL!

The questions can't come out of the tiebreaker until one of the answers recieve another vote. Thumbs up doesn't have anthing to do with it. People can put their question to a vote before the 4 days is up.

For a lot of questions, they will remain in theri status until any vote is given
