The title of First Lady is an unofficial title for the hostess of the White House, usually but not always the wife of the president. Exceptions include First Ladies who have been nieces, daughter-in-laws, sister-in-laws, friends, former wives, and sisters of presidents.
There is no precedent for a title for the husband of a U.S. president. It is usually suggested that he would assume the title of "First Gentleman".

Well, if the President's Wife is called "First Lady", then it follows that with a female President the President's Husband woudl be called "First Gentleman" since we are addressed in public as "Ladies and Gentlemen".

I believe he will be called the First Gentlemen . I'm not sure if he will continue to be referred to as Mr. President or if that will change to Mr. Clinton. He retains the title Mr. President for life though... So they would have to announce them as Madam President and Mr. President, or else as President and Mr. Clinton? Oh hell, lol, Emily Post I'm not.

First Gentleman, or maybe First Husband ... believe me, I've thought about it before. They'll have to invent some title.

Well, if we currently say the First Lady, we would probably refer to him as the First Gentleman.
