JAVA not available?

I keep getting error messages to enable Javascript. When I follow through to change my control panel everything is on/enabled, etc as it should be? Can someone please explain how to stop this from happening?!?!?!?

    Javascript has nothing to do with Java. This is solely a problem with your web browser, so adjust your internet settings. If it still doesn't work, try a different browser.

    You might need to update Java.
