how many mega/gigabites is the average movie?

    hour and a half is about 700 to 800 megs

    If it's a single-layer, standard definition movie, then less than 4.5GB. Dual layer standard def movies w/extras run up to twice that but are usually around 7 GB.

    a moive of about 2 hrs in avi is close to 1GB.

    41 min tv episode in avi is 348MB (experiance)

    flv is a lot less (for a 40 min episode) 170MB or so.

    The resti s justrial and error. That's all I know, coz that's all i've downloaded.

    around 8 gigs, if you use the "dvd shrink" software you can shrink down to 4 gigs plus decodes then burn it to a dvd.

    sometimes you may need to delete french and spanish if the file is too big, but dvd shrink will bring it down to your 4.8gb dvd-r, etc.

    its easy to use and if you have record now on your windows xp, you just have to right click the file and send to record now. very simple!
