If appletalk is disabled, what protocol can be used to share files in a tcp/ip network environment?

    You answered your own question... With no Appletalk or Token Ring or even Netware, one would use TCP/IP. I presume you are also using Macs to do the file sharing. Best thing would be to setup shares for Mac users to use back and forth. It is hard to get a Mac and a PC to talk together using file shares so i would further recommend using a FTP server on a Mac or on the PC and use a FTP client to connect to the other to transfer files using FTP instead of a Network file share.
