Can I deduct my child's charitable contribs on my return?

These are cash contribs made throughout the year to my church made in my child's name (teach her the value of giving). The church sends a tithe receipt in her name, along with a separate receipt in my name.

My child is a minor, has no income (not even int/div). Haven't been able to find anything definitive on IRS.gov on whether to take the deduction myself.

I file MFJ w/ my wife, itemize every year we've had a house and mortgage.

Since the funds came from you to begin with (and you have a receipt as well) go ahead and claim it.
