Ladies, married and single, what is your idea of something romance.?

I can think of many things. I would hope most guys could. My concern is that something romantic is contrived and almost "theater" like. Is this what you like or expect?

Update:

"Something romance" duhh! I sound like Borat in my question! haha

Romance doesn't always mean some big "theatrical" gesture. Although it would be nice every once in a while. Romance to me can mean just doing the little things that let me know that you care. For instance, my bf and I don't see each other a whole lot because of our work schedules. But he texts me from work just to let me know that I'm on his mind. A shoulder rub after a hard day or doing the dishes when I'm tired or cuddling with me on the couch on when we're watching TV are other prime examples of romance. The only thing that you are limited by is your imagination. I, personally, want to be loved by and feel the love from my man in whatever form it takes.

Your concern is justifiable. Romance, to me, is something so clichéd that it must be avoided at all costs.
