The main problem people may have when they sell them on Ebay is trying to compete with the japanese / American imports.

Whilst the units are region locked for movie playback, the games are region free. An you know some bright spark is going to be able to unlock them

Your competition however, will not be for the 60gb imports, but the cheaper 20 gb version. The japansese can buy these cheaper units for £214.00

Ebay is banning overseas sellers from selling imports, so imports are being bought into the country before they are auctioned on Ebay and they have had 2 months now to get many 20gb units into europe ready.

Sellers on Ebay.com are offering postage to the UK on the units now.

Its probably easier at the moment for a person in the UK to get hold of a PS3 than it is to get a Wii

Keep one PS3 and sell the other one on Ebay, and you'll make a 50-$100 profit. I got a 20 gb PS3 last week for $580.00

ebay will probably block you selling at a price over and above shop retail. The reason for this is that too many people world wide have done the same. Personal greed has forced the extortionate pricing beyond what most parents can afford. It is likely that you will only be able to sell at the same price as Comet or Dixon who tend to be dearer than the likes of Tesco or Woolworth. The only way round this would be to sell the PS3 for much less than anyone else but charge way over the top for postage. Even that will be suspect.

You probably won't make an overall profit, unless you sell both, and get a 3rd machine later.

Rumours are that they will sell for about £700.00 on ebay for the first few weeks.

Go on then, why the thumbs down - nothing above is a lie.

you may make an extreme profit but you also might be disappointed that the first spawn of the popular console has problems with the earthing in the transformer. personally i wouldn't touch one with a barge pole until them at Sony own up and tell us that this fault could be be potentially dangerous

I have done that and then cancelled one of them - because I couldn't be arsed!

You may make some money - but can you be bothered? - No...is the answer! Cancel one!

Why has everyone got a thumbs down? So I decided to give everyone a thums up to counter this problem....!!

You will easily double your money if you sell one on ebay. It wouldn't surprise me if you got well over £1000 for a top spec PS3.

Hopefully you get scammed and don't make a penny
