Computer memory capacity//yahoo mail capacity?

Does yahoo mail capacity relate in anyway to the size of your memory chip in your computer. I supposedly have 512MB in my Dell Computer and yahoo mail has 1GB

no, it does nt relate to ur computer mem at all. dont worry about it. yahoo mem is actually in yahoo's server. and ur coms mem is in ur computer. so they are totally seperate/

i think ur 512mb memory is for ram not hard disk. any way, what ever u save in the pc, it will store in the hard disk. there r many types of organizing the memory. generally in our pc they use the concept of ovelapped.

coming to the yahoo, what ever it may be gmail, hotmail et.. they will tell 2gb memory or each user. but it is wrong. because, if they have to give 2gb to each user means just think of the size of the server. it is not possible. what they will do is, virtual memory. ur 2gb storage will be shared by lot of users. there is the concept. but in ur pc, what ever the space may be will be used by urself only.

yahoo mail capacity do not relate your computer hardware.

It should be same ,whatever the computer you access it from.
