In my esteemed opinion the queen pulled a few strings, now that her macho grandson wants to go fight in a real war, so it is better to call it quits before he can get into harms way.

I'm a Brit.
They're pulling out because the area where the British forces are doesn't have much violence so control can be passed to the Iraqi army. It will be at least another year before the British totally pull out.

They probably don't want anymore of their troops killed by friendly fire.It wont be so easy to sweep under the carpet if Prince Harry is shot by his allies.
