How do I stop my Xbox 360 from making an irritating grinding sound?

You can't it is just the disc when the XBOX 360 is reading it. It turns the disc very fast hence the sound.

1. Turn it off.

2. Go outside and get some fresh air and exercise.

Have you tried a twelve pound sledge hammer should do the trick

If you got a warranty then do what it tells you to, but if you do not than I reken you in it deeper than than the atlantic.

mine does the same thing, there is no way to stop it because it is the air filter or whatever you call it, that thing that stops it from getting to hot.

Might be a Good Idea to place it on a Sponge , or on Something Soft .
