If the IC is incorporated or you pay less than $600, you don't have to file one anyway. Otherwise, if the IC reports that you didn't give them a 1099 and you paid more than $600, you can get fined. You may also have trouble deducting the money from your taxes because you will have no backup for the cost.

THEN THE IRS WILL COME AFTER YOU FOR , THERE MONEY. ALSO THE CONTRATOR, HE WILL NEED FOR HIS TAXES PURPOSE.
