Troll Identification and Control, what is being done.?
There seem to be many actions that Trolls take. The action that is distasteful to me is when they target every answer from someone, voting from multiple accounts as NO BEST ANSWER, or for another answer (which may or may not be of the same quality answer).
How do we know how, when, and where to report a Troll? How do we know that something has been done? Quite frankly, it is difficult to answer more questions if there is no chance of ever getting Best Answer any more (unless the ASKER chooses it, and that only happens 1 in every 5 questions at best).
Is there a way to encourage / promote Askers to pick the Best Answer more often? How do you assure quality answers? I seems that should be the Asker's opinion, or an evaluation of the answer against the Question - and Voters do not do that very well. In fact if voters vote at all it surprises me.
I hope Yahoo keeps trying.
Stephen - you got that right too. I did notice after reporting the Troll, that some of the stuck questions were released in my favor.
Stephen - to clarify, I got no confirmation when I reported the Troll - except that I suspect that these being released is related. And, my report of a troll was not via Abuse buttons, because what one would I use? It is not abuse by the answerers. It is not abuse by the asker. So, I went to the 'Help', up in the top right, and asked a question. Hope that worked, but as I said - no confirmation that Yahoo is looking into a specific troll.

I really think Yahoo should give the asker 5pts for picking best answer & no points for voting Trolls vote to get points & often screw up the answer voting for the worst Trolls ask totally nasty questions & are often found in Politics R & S & even in Forum They are even found in Pets & Health Keep your eyes peeled!! They say to report abuse on Trolls but they always bounce back Shut down their accounts for good

One prolbem is that we can't even get askers to pick an answer. It then rolls over to unresolved and can sit and sit and sit
