Does anyone know where I can find Song of the South?

I want a copy of The Song of the South. I don't care if it is DVD or VHS. The movies has special meaning to me. My grandfather took me when I was little. I have found copies but they have subtitles, or are not from a web site I trust. thanks

Yeah, it was one of the first movies I ever saw, and I loved every second of it, yet Disney has never again released it (there was a theatrical rerelease 1954) on video, despite its being the only Disney film to win two academy awards (one a special award for the actor who played Uncle Remus)

eBay is not a bad answer, but you need to know that Disney will not allow any further release even in the UK. So, you will get either a British original vhs (expensive and unplayable on US machines) or a who-knows-what kind of translation therefrom into dvd that you can play.

BTW, this may all be illegal, but I don't give a damn. Who is Disney to keep us from our childhood memories?

You might be able to find it in VHS on eBay. It is out of print and never released on DVD her in the states. It is on DVD in other countries. The Disney folks are being cautious, a lot of African Americans find it offensive, the Uncle Remus character. On ebay here's a link, looks pretty expensive....
