How comes French people don't see how great America is ?

A significant lack of beta-carotene in the French diet has lead to serious vision problems. Plus, America is really far away from France--much too far to see. Good luck!

They think the American people are rude and barbarian. To some degree - they are correct, Americans can be rude. On the other hand, the French have been known to overcome their negative feelings when they need Americans to save their hide. Now that the French have the Muslims, they might actually stand a chance in a fight.

I think many of the nations out there that are developed are happy with themselves. As an American I feel my nation is the best there is so being this way I am sure if I lived there the patriotism would be toward France. Patriotism is what keeps people thinking that their nation is the best there is.

Plus we also have our own problems with immigrants and immigration laws so that probably isn't it.

I think the French don't obsess about America as much as you think they do. Besides, who DOES see "how great America is" other than us Americans?

I don't get the immigrant connection to any of this at all.

Europeans in general, just as the rest of the world, believe Americans are fat, materialistic, and selfish. I'm American, and I must say, I agree!

they can hear us calling them names all the time and the american tourists are usually the fattest and rudest that represent us...also our president is like peewee herman to them...they did give us the statue of liberty and some american indians do have french blood...we got along fine with france before bush pissed off everyone

They do; they just don't like to admit it! When there were 2 superpowers it was easy to hate the USSR. Since we are the only superpower left it's easy to hate us. Everybody always hates the popular kid.

It's because their memories are as short as their, uh corks. They can't seem to remember what was going on 65 years ago.

they know america is great,its just know one ever likes "goliath" and no matter what we say or do themselves and the rest of the world will continue to take shots at us.......
