where can I check if my computer is "networked" with another one? can i look somewhere?

    Usually Windows will tell you. Look in the area where your clock is and hover over the icons. If it isnt there, just go to the control panel and double click network connections. Look for available networks and it should show you.

    If you are using a computer with Windows, go to your control panel and click on network connections.

    I think if you're using a Mac, there is an icon in the right hand side of the apple tool bar.

    Go to control panel and there should be a file in there that has to do with networking it will show the other computers public folder
