What kind of memory should I get for my HP laptop?

I recently purchaced an HP dv6000 laptop. I like it a lot but I want to expand the memory. It takes DDR2 SDRAM but I can't find the speed to get. Should I buy 3200, 4200, 5300 or something else? I've looked around and I can't seem to find that info on the web. Does anyone have any insight for me?

Use one of the memory configurators here:

A memory configurator IMHO is the best way to see specifically what memory will work with your system. Most memory manufacturers will have one. BestBuy.com also has one.

  • Use the Memory Configurator on the bottem left of this page.

You should ask this question at the help option of the HP website instead of Yahoo! questions and answers.
