What are the leading scientific hypotheses on why the beas are dying out?

Please please do not answer off the top of your head...only people with a biology background please!!!

    I seen something about this on tv the other night and the biologists said it is because the stuff the bees eat on the flowers is not here now, and because of this the bees have moved on. I am not talking about pollen, it is something else they eat that is on the flowers.
