Baby Goats?

goats are good for milk and meat~

feed them save a lamb or another type of bottle feeding until they are about 6-7 weeks. During that present a grain to them, so that they can slowly transfer. go to the feed store and ask for a goat raiser pellet. in think course 14 or 16 is an all purpose we used to feed. And feed them a good quality hay.

and if you have a male, castrate it, it will just be a pain when he gets older. you can find some one to "band" it for you.

as for your female, I'm not sure id have to see the growths to know. but i would just call a vet describe them to her/him and see if its a big issue that they might need to come out and look at.

Where did you get the goats and why didn't you ask the one who sold them to you. Baby goats are sensitive and feeding them by bottle is not the only thing you need to know about feeding the babies...call your vet, zoo or anyone who is intelligent about goats for help...sounds like you put the cart before the horse and you have tooo much to learn before you probably will kill them...so hurry to the phone and call a vet.

growths? do you mean the wattles or tassels? swiss breeds often have little hanging tassell like thingys on neck, some dairy goats people who show cut them off at birth(so not in way when they clip goat I think),Some times a goat will only have one wattle.Dont normally see in nubian types but not impossible to happen in nubians with other crosses.Wattles are not a problem,and are normal.
