messenger not working in windows vista business?

The latest version of Yahoo Messenger has no problem running on Windows Vista. Uninstall any versions you have currently installed, go to http://messenger.yahoo.com/ and download the latest version.

During the installation, if you have any firewalls popping up asking to give Messenger access, tell it yes and then it should work fine.

Should Yahoo Question me or should i question yahoo? I have the Yahoo Messanger installed in my new Lap top working in Vista business but i cant logg in using my user name and password.

Please advise.

Did you ever find the answer? It was working fine for me, then all of a sudden it stopped working. I tried deleting it and reinstalling again, but no luck. I even tried changing the firewall settings. If you got it to work, can you let me know how...you can email me at appompa255@aol.com.

windows vista is crap

i mean its gt better functions but its not worth getting as u need to uninstall and install quite a few programs which dont come with the pavkage for it to work on ur system properly.

1. check your windows firewall if its not checked or added to the allowed list then check/add it!

2. in YM connections try connecting using "firewall with no proxies" if your default connection dont work.
