Why are there no fat, ugly avatars on Yahoo Answers?

i am not really sure. maybe the screen doesnt have enough space! LOL

Its the same as when you chat with the opposite sex online we all make ourselves to be better looking or stronger or younger just like the avatars people post its what they want others to see

People don't want to reflect the way they look. Also, skinny and pretty things by society and media's standards aren't achievable by everyone, and people are rather judgemental, and also people are self conscious. There's a number of reasons.

Because avatars are supposed to show inner beauty.

And They have plus sized avatars for those of larger body sizes.

Same reason there are no old or fat or disfigured Disney princesses, the powers that be don't think people would like them.

I guess your avatar reflects how you see your self.

Perhaps those sort of avatars are not popular.....
