Not that this was the only group to start things in America, but they were a major player in the original "rules" that were laid down here.

I don't think American Catholics are any different from other Catholics. We have the same beliefs, obligations and worship services. If there is any difference it would be on an individual basis.

LOL We aren't. We are commonly called "Cafeteria Catholics" because many pick and choose what they will accept. Look at Italy or another country for more faithful Catholics.

is a Roman Catholic regardless of their "country of origin."
