This all depends on the size of the man! My husband is a very big man...has huge shoulders and chest (he body builds) and he has a great tattoo on his upper arm. If its a man that is on the slender side a tattoo there can look out of place. I would suggest then on the shoulder. It wouldn't make the arm look to slender. I love tattoos, I have on my shoulder and plan on getting more ..lower back and ankle. I am of a slim build and this would look the best. Also, if a man has one on his lower arm..probably would look good as long as its not to big. This would work no matter what size the man is. Good Luck

I have always disliked tattoos with a passion.
Normally people get tattoos they like now, but 5 years from now they aren't so proud of it. The trend among people my age is tatoos on the wrists. One even has "No suicide" because of something completely un-related. Now I, along with every else, ask if it's a reminder.
It's very uncommon that I appreciate tattoos. I have a friend who never wanted any tattoos except 1. It's very detailed and reaches the entire span of his back. What he did is he drew it up, put it on his wall in his room for two years, saved the money and after seeing it all the time he decided he would get the tattoo. -something I can appreciate. Smart guy.

My husband has one on his neck (my name) one on his chest one on each of his upper arms and one on the right lower arm that gos from elbow to past his wrist and two on his left lower arm. Get it were ever you want to. Men with tattoos are sexy anyway. Some people don't like them but then again we don't get them for other people we get them because we like them. I really don't care what some stuck up girl or guy think about mine. They don't have to live with it i do. Tattoos show people something about you. I have never just walked in to a place and picked something off the wall and said i want that. Think about what you want have the artist draw it up and see what you think.

Upper arm or lower leg.
I had a boyfriend who had a lot of tats, but none on his chest or lower arms. When I asked why he said the arms were because he could still wear short sleeves and look "normal" for his conservative job. As for the chest, he said he didn't want to subject any woman to having to see the same thing over and over during, uh, personal moments.
Back of the shoulders and belly (for those blessed with a six-pack) look good too.

Somewhere you can conceal it later if you want to. I have one on the back of my shoulder specifically so I can cover it up if I need to. All kinds of situations come up in life where you might not want to be sporting a tat. Job interviews, meeting someone's family, just depends on your situation.
I personally like guys with tattoos on their back or upper arm.

Well it depends if you want to look hot or not.
The arms are a perfect place I'd say. It makes a man look sexy!
The neck is good too, but its hard when your a working man, cause it can't be hidden too easily.

Anywhere in the upper region of your body; top of the back, collar bone, shoulders, top of arms.
