Avoid ingesting all stimulants such as caffeine in any form( chocolate, sodas, tea, coffee) and smoking.
Practice sleep hygiene.( see link below) Don't exercise late in the day. Go to the store and buy a bottle of Melatonin in the vitamins section.
Don't talk about stressful subjects before bed time. Don't take naps during the day.
If none of that works, have a sleep study done.
