I have a Crewmax on order. Reasons I chose it over the others (in no particular order):

    - The power and performance. The thing accelerates like a 70's muscle car, no other truck can touch it without mods.

    - Toyota's reputation for reliability

    - Off road ability (excellent 4WD system and ground clearance)

    - Towing ability. I don't need it every day, but we tow a horse trailer or a boat from time to time. I couldn't have done it with the old Tundra, but Toyota finally delivered a full-sized truck with real capabilities.

    - Interior space (hence the Crewmax) I don't carry a lot in the bed most of the time, but can haul the whole family in the pickup now, and carry enough lumber or project materials to keep me busy all weekend.

    - Ride quality - I thought the ride and handling was superior to any of the others.

    - Gas mileage. Comparable with some of the others, but when you consider the performance... no contest.

    - Did I mention it's fast? this truck runs like a scalded cat! (I'll probably need a radar detector)

    - It doesn't look like every other truck on the road - It's tough, yet civilized.

I guess I'm pretty sold on the Tundra. I hope the reality is half as good as I expect it to be.

    Source(s): My opinion.
