Grady Sizemore?
I poseted a question telling about how Grazy Sizemore is overrated, and get this, half the people think he's underrated. Look at his stats peopl, he's terrible.
.282 - I don't even think I need to comment on this poor statistic.
12 HR- congrats! your on pace for 26 Sizemore!
34 RBI- Well by the end of the season you will ALMOST have 3/4 100
22 SB- Well if you're so fast, then why can't you get to first base before the throw?
62 R- Well finally somehting good, to bad its runs. All this says is that Victor Martinez and Travis Hafner are good.
Hey Frizzer, I'm not asking how he treats the fans, I'm asking if you guys think he's overrated, which he is.
LS
Why don't you look up those statistics you are telling me about. You might not fully understand them.
Sizemore is worthless scum and he is terrible.
Check this out
Batting Average- .282
Leadoff batters over .282
Ichiro Suzuki
Reggie Willits
Brian Roberts
Luis Castillo
Carl Crawford
Kenny Lofton
Curtis Granderson
Alex Rios
Gary Matthews Jr.
Christian Guzman
Jose Reyes
Corey Hart
So Taguchi
Eric Byrnes
Alfonso Soriano
Willy Taceras
Randy Winn
Where does that rank him in BA??
In case you didn't know LS (assimung you didn't) leadoff batters are supposed to have a good BA, and .280 doesn't cut it with too many teams.
Sizemore RBI
So you say leadoff batters arent supposed to get RBI
well leadoff hitters with more than Sizemore (34)
Alex Rios
Gary Matthews Jr.
Vernon Wells (recently leadoff)
Curtis Granderson
Ichiro Suzuki
Jimmy Rollins
Eric Byrnes
Kelly Johnson
HR by leadoff more than Sizemore (12)
Alfonso Soriano
Jimmy Rollins
Eric Byrnes (even)
Alex Rios
Ichiro Suzuki
Reggie Willits
Brian Roberts
Luis Castillo
Carl Crawford
Kenny Lofton
Curtis Granderson
Alex Rios
Gary Matthews Jr.
Christian Guzman
Jose Reyes
Corey Hart
So Taguchi
Eric Byrnes
Alfonso Soriano
Willy Taceras
Randy Winn
Kelly Johnson
Those players above are the ones with statistics better than Sizemore
and there are probably more, those players are just the ones I put down, other players still have more RBI, BA, etc
So next time, re-concider you're thoughts, and think before you speak LS

I will explain to you why so many people are pumped up about Sizemore. He has unlimited future potential and is a throwback the way he plays the game. he gives his teammates 100% every minute he is on the field and you will never see him just go through the motions. From everything I have herd he treats all the fans with respect and is a leader in the clubhouse. When his playing career is over you could see him as a manager some day. Players like Sizemore don't come along everyday and he is an asset to the game. I will accept your "thumbs down" and hope that someday he will make a believer out of you as well. Ambrose, a very fair response from you. How about this; he is only 25 years old and a 20-20 player his first two years in MLB, and could go 30-40 this year. He is one of the top three or four defensive outfielders in baseball with one of the best throwing arms. If he were on the Yankees right now Damon would be on the bench. Ask any manager in baseball, and your feelings about him, and you would be in the minority, and maybe none would agree with you. You are not really asking a question to gain ideas from others, you are just looking for people to agree with you.

a million. 5 gadget participant 2. would be a candidate for the for the 40-40 club. 3. provides all of it he has no remember what the situation 4. In 2006 became into the 2d participant ever(first because 1937)to get 25+ homers, 20+ steals, 50+ doubles, and 10 triple in a season. 5. whilst Eric Wedge became into asked the different day if he however Sizemore had hit the ceiling he pronounced " not even close". So Of Wedge is nice how good is he going to be? he's already arguably the appropriate in the league.

12 homeruns is actually a good number, most players make only that much all year and 22 stolen bases is also very high and the throw to first base is very hard to beat out. If youve ever played baseball you would know. The other stats are average and the batting average is even a little above average. if a player is hitting at .250 that is considered about average. Grady Sizemore is a great player and is still at a young age so he has lots of time to get better!!!

From a fantasy point of view, is value is high because of the combination of power and steals that he provides. There aren't many 20/20 players out there, let alone ones with 30/50 potential. For this reason, people speak very highly of him. Fantasy stats have become the first thing that people look to since so many are deeply immersed with their fantasy teams, and Sizemore is a clear example of this as a top-10 fantasy force.

how old are you?
first off his average IS ALMOST 20 POINTS ABOVE THE LEAGUE AVERAGE FOR CENTER FIELDERS.. so that means only a few are hitting higher than him. second his ob% (which is what REAL stat people use to gauge a hitters worth) is almost 4 hundered-he has 44 walks..which tells you about his good eye and he's in the top 10 in runs and stolen bases. asking a leadoff guy to have a 100 rbi's ...tells me you think this is mlb the show or some sort of video game. second he has 12 bombs which puts him (for a leadoff guy now) at 20th in the league..which only has him 3 from being put in 3rd all by himself.
really..please shut up.
as for hafner and martinez being good? well that's when the stolen bases and walks sizmore put ups come into play. they wouldn't have them numbers if grady's not on base.
so again son.
tell your daddy to explain the nu,mbers better to you. youre making a fool of him.
Source(s): there's no need to even respond to your post. because simply put i can run down everyone of those players numbers and make you look dumber than you are but here's the link for you http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7256 - 1 decade ago
How old is Sizemore? You think this is going to be his best season yet or what? Wait a few years and see what happens bud. He's on pace to have a solid season. He's leading off for a good ballclub, and he's doing what he is paid to do...get on base and get into scoring position. All those runs he has are from getting on base and getting himself into scoring position. Not to mention this guy had 92 extra base hits last season. How many other players had more than that? Have you even seen this guy play defense either? He's a tremendous athlete and he's only 24 years old. Everybody knows he's only going to get better. And by the way...the last time I checked, 26 HR for a leadoff hitter is pretty damn good. I suppose you think Jimmy Rollins and Hanley Ramirez are terrible also?

well he is a leadoff man. so he isnt really always supposed to hit home runs but he has excellent power. he is fast and good at stealing bases. and you cant just expect him to get to the base before the average time it takes for a groundout. I'm sure you couldnt even get to first in 5 seconds. leadoff men usually dont have too many rbi's. if a leadoff man finishes the year with about 75 thats very good. .282 is a decent average. you couldn't even hit .100 i bet. and any leadoff man that hits even 15 homers is good for him. so you need to respect the fact that he is doing all this as leadoff hot batting 4th or 5th.

What do you have so against this kid?
And since when in the hell is .282 a "poor statistic"?
Looks like he's having a pretty good year to me--nothing incredible, just solid numbers.
Get off his ***. Being on it makes you seem like your head is up your own. . . .

Did he run over your dog or something?
