What was the greatest song to have come out of the eighties?

Could it be Viena by Ultravox or something by U2 of Simple Minds. Perhaps UB40. I even like Karma Chameleon by the Culture Club and all Dire Straits. Maybe Springsteen?

Exposing Thatcher's greedy right winged government. I suppose lots of songs did that, but thats my fav.

Could this be the first time in history, that "greatest song" and "eighties" appear in the same sentence?

Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) by Eurythmics.

I can't get it out of my head.
