How can I park a moving truck overnight on the upper west side of Manhattan?
We are moving my daughter to W. 102nd street on Friday, and need to park the moving truck overnight Saturday night. Can anyone suggest where and how we might park the truck? It is a 16 foot Penske truck.
Note, the solution does not have to be a place on the upper west side, just reasonably close by.
If you cannot park a U-Haul it type truck on the streets, how do people move in NYC? How do you get goods to your stores?

Chances are this is not going to be an option. Naturally it's too big to put in a garage, so to park in the city your best bet is finding a spot on the street big enough. That being said, I'm not sure that you can park on the street without a permit, so be prepared to pay some parking tickets. I honestly think your best option would be to start looking into some "park and rides" in Jersey or north of Manhattan. It would be further away, but parking in this city is a pain and costs big bucks. Good luck!

theres a garage on 87th between bway and west end thats pretty reasonable. dont park at the garage on 89th between bway and west end they are a lot more money.
