What is the better life philosophy?

A) I am going to to anything and everything that I think is okay and that FEELS okay to me.

B) I am going to try to live to a higher ideal and not be an animal that follows its baser instincts.

How can you know what is a higher ideal unless you feel it is right. For example (Insert spiritual leader here) Tells her congregation that killing babies is a good and just thing. She, being an intermediary between the ideal and humanity is an expert on such things.

Should I listen to her...no, it doesn't feel right. I hold myself to a high, personal moral standard. A is my answer' oh, and yay esoteric Taoism.

I think both are good in their place. You -should- do things that you think are okay and that feel right to you. But you should also consider the consequences your actions are likely to have on the lives and feelings of others.

Like so many things in life, it's not all one or the other but a matter of balance. It's like walking a tightrope where you can fall off either side.

If B is not founded on truths, then B is a subset of A.

Can you prove your Ideal is Higher?

I think A and B are stages in life. First you have to be like A, then you graduate and prefer B.

If i had to decide it would be the A answer But in life i realize that without GOD nothing is possible.

Anything is possible if only you beleive!!

    and my philosophy is

    Use it up

    Wear it out

    Make it do

    Do without!!!!!!!!!!

Why does it have to be one or the other? I think balance is key.
