How much money does a corporation spend to sponsor a NASCAR race?
There's a lot of info about the cost of car sponsorship, but what does the Lowe's, the UAW or the Army have to pay to sponsor a race?
On average...I realize it varies by event.
What I'm after is how much does Subway pay the track and NASCAR to sponsor the Subway Fresh Fit 400, or Kobalt Tools pay to sponsor the Kobalt Tools 500 race.

Normally between 10-15 million for normal races. Allstate just paid 18.2 million for the brickyard!
But it's marketing, so it's a tax write off!

Jeff Gordon reportedly makes $5 million per year to drive for Hendrick Motorsports. There's also the price of crew chiefs, some who can cost well into the six figures.
Those numbers are just for starters. While a decade ago many teams relied upon "weekend warriors" -- pit workers who had regular full-time jobs and who came out to play on weekends -- the trend in the mid-90s was to make crew members full-time employees.
Where some teams had maybe 20 or 30 employees a decade ago, most multi-car operations have well over 100 today.
A decade ago, a sponsorship of between $3 and $5 million put a team pretty much at the front of the line. But as costs continued to escalate, teams kept going back to their sponsors, begging for more. Now, a good sponsorship easily costs between $10 and $15 million.
"Those aren't show cars that we build; they call them race cars for a reason," said Kevin Harvick, last season's Rookie of the Year. "We're all out there to race them. These sponsors don't spend $10 million to watch us have a nice car show. They want to see us race."

A corporation can spend up to two million dollars in three months for a driver to be a primary sponsor. In a three month period, Lonestar steakhouse spent over two million dollars on a team that went nowhere.

She won the vote fair and square the Danica Nation is huge. The only driver that possibly more fans is Dale Jr. And he was already in the race. If they do voting same way next season Danica probably wins fan vote again.
